80/20

These are my principles for happiness

  • Long runs looping the same song
  • Walking around with no shoes on
  • Long walks in the country, with no phone 
  • Meditating & Breathing (Whim Hoff Method)
  • Learning a new random skill
  • Sitting in a coffee shop all morning reading
  • Calling a friend and going for a walk
  • Writing a letter thanking someone 
  • Having friends over and cooking them dinner
  • Group workout classes 
  • Journaling
  • Swimming
  • Writing these blog posts
  • Improv road trips to somewhere new
  • Hitting golf balls on a range
  • Spending time with horses or dogs
  • Buying coffee for a stranger at a coffee shop. 

Wins during the day

Morning/ AM

  • Breathing first thing – Whim Hoff
  • 1x Coffee
  • Ice bath/ cold shower
  • Changing state/ Moving – My 300
  • P90x Ab Ripper

Day/ M

  • Run/ move around 3pm (my least productive time). Just move

Night/ PM

  • 7g of Hypnos
  • No caffeine after 3pm
  • Sauna, Steam, Swim

What maybe more important is NOT to do/ be aware of what makes you Unhappy, these are my 80/20 for just that

  • Not exercising for long period of times
  • Making food choices when tired or hungry
  • Spending too much time on my phone or laptop
  • Spending too much time alone
  • Not having something to look forward to
  • Drinking too much caffeine (anything over 2)
  • Going to bed late and waking up late
  • Drinking alcohol when alone / no intention
  • Spending too much time on social media
  • Telling white lies
